Inject are currently looking for an outstanding Intermediate Designer to join our young, energetic team of creatives.

This role requires a tertiary qualification in Graphic Design, with 2 + years' digital and design experience in an agency environment. Your portfolio will showcase solid design talent and your ability for creative thinking.

You will be responsible for creating design solutions that have a high visual impact. 
The role involves listening to the Studio Manager, Creative Director, Clients and understanding their needs before making design decisions. 

You will be designing for a wide variety of brands, products, websites, advertising, books, magazines, posters, games, packaging, exhibitions, displays and corporate communications.

You will develop creative ideas and concepts, choosing the appropriate media and style to meet the client's objectives.

The work demands a high level of illustration, creative genius, up-to-date knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and a professional approach to time, costs and deadlines.

You will have an impeccable eye for detail, up to date knowledge of print pre-press, and know-how when designing for web/screen based solutions.

You will have a calm and unflappable personality, possess the ability to deal with recurring deadlines with ease, and a be an oasis of calm for those relying on you to help bring everything together. You will be able to work well in a team and also individually to bring to life outstanding creative solutions.

You will be open to developing your skill set to include other areas of expertise, for example, set-dressing a photo-shoot, when the time comes to it.

Typical Work Activities
Your job may involve managing more than one design brief at a time and allocating the relevant amount of time according to the value of the job. Typical activities include:

• meeting clients or account managers to discuss the business objectives and requirements of the job;
• interpreting the client's business needs and developing a concept to suit their purpose;
• estimating the time required to complete the work;
• developing design briefs by gathering information and data through research;
• thinking creatively to produce new ideas and concepts;
• using innovation to redefine a design brief within the constraints of cost and time;
• working under the guidance of the Creative Director;
• working with a wide range of media, including photography and computer-aided design
• digital illustration;
• proofreading to produce accurate and high-quality work;
• contributing ideas and design artwork to the overall brief;
• demonstrating illustrative skills with rough sketches;
• creating custom illustrations, hand drawn type pieces;
• working on layouts and art working pages ready for print;
• presenting finalised ideas and concepts to creative director, account managers or clients;
• keeping abreast of emerging technologies in new media, particularly design programs such as InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop & Acrobat;
• working as part of a team with printers, copywriters, photographers, stylists, illustrators, other designers, account executives, web developers, production and marketing specialists;
• open minded and respectful of others;
• strong in your written and verbal communication skills;
• a good listener, problem solver, and logical thinker;
• able to multitask and manage multiple deadlines;
• an independent worker who uses initiative;
• a team player with a 'can-do' attitude;

To qualify for this role, you must have the relevant experience with an impressive portfolio, and equally important is a great attitude with a desire to lead by example.
